Friends of Southwest DC mourns the passing of our founder and longtime President,
CORALIE FARLEE
Friends of Southwest DC continues to mourn the passing of our founder and longtime president, Coralie Farlee, who died in January 2020, after leading the organization for two decades. Friends of Southwest DC honors Coralie by continuing her groundbreaking work to give back to our neighborhood and make Southwest a better place. With a bequest from Corlie’s estate, Friends of Southwest established the Coralee Farlee Graduate Scholarship, a $5,000 scholarship awarded annually to a Southwest graduate student. In exceptional cases, we may award additional graduate scholarships for lesser amounts.
